Long time no blog..

Wow, last published February 25, 2010... yikes its been a LONG time!!

So much has happened over the months and I could talk about it for paragraphs and paragraphs, but to make an extrememly long story short, we delivered our baby girl 8 weeks early on June 1st. I haven't taken in any pictures the remainder of my pregnancy and until after she was born. SOO... these next few posts will update you on whats been going on..

I had a great time photographing one of my oldest friends, Aubrey. She has had quite the story life and was glad to be able to meet up with her after awhile from being gone, and having her allow me to photograph her in celebration of her sobriety!

Mark and Mallory | Wedding

So I couldn't help but share a wedding I recently took on out of all days Valentine's Day! It went so well, and we had a LOT of fun.. I love being able to be creative with each couple, and go to new places, and experience new memories. I definitely had that opportunity with Mark and Mallory. I will have a full post once the photos are done, but just wanted to share one or two to give you a glimpst...

Minnett, Krahn, Wiebe | One Year

Its been about a month since my last post, and I can honestly say not much has gone on around here, which is a decision I made beginning the new year. I hate turning people down and have done a few more than I expected to, but Im also enjoying more time with my family and soaking in as much time with my daughter before we add another to the bundle.
So, about a year ago, I had the privelage of photographing 3 moms.. (2 decided to also do a maternity shoot), but more the less I photographed their newborn photos.. Looks like they got to know eachother through prenatal classes and grew into a great friendship over the year. Now the kids turned one and we decided to bundle all 3 together and do one big photo shoot. It was SO much fun! BIG thank you goes to Meghan's Cakes (http://www.megscakes.livejournal.com/) for the very cute smash cakes she provided for the photo shoot.. Here are a few sneaks..

Thiessen's | Newborn

The Thiessen family was another great family to work with. I've known this family for a couple years, and its great to see their family expand and their lives grow to new beginnings. I was excited when they introduced their new baby to the world, and contacted me for newborn pics. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and went awesome.
Thanks guys for being my first session of the year, and I'm looking forward to capturing more of your family's memories.

2009 comes to an end

So last wedding and session of 2009 came and now went, and it went off with a bang! The couple absolutely loved their pics and that just made the closing of the year that much better.. -40 windchill and we pulled through! Thanks soo much guys and I so very much look foward to this summer capturing more moments in your lives!!

They decided to do a swing dance as their first dance together, and it rocked!!

Kathy and Rej | Wedding

Pregnancy is such a fragile time in your life and it can throw you off any day during the 9 months. Well, it landed up throwing me a curve ball on this wedding day, so my sister (who is sometimes the second shooter for my weddings) decided to take this day on full swing. While on bedrest I put my sole trust in her and she definitely followed through, more than I ever expected her to! Thanks soo much Andrea for being the best photographer you could be on the what wasn't the best day for me. It was sisters do and she definitely is an awesome one.. Here are some of her shots (proecssing is done by myself).

From what I hear, this day was just like any typical wedding day.. has its ups and downs, its laughs, its tears, and most of all its promise for a lifetime. I admire this couple cuz they've definitely shown the world that love conquers everything, and I can see it be so evident in the pictures, which is exactly my purpose as a photographer. Thanks sooo much guys for accomidating such a last minute request, and also for being a great couple to work with! You guys rock!!
