Buhay

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

So I decided to head back to Steinbach after I found out the Buhay's were interested in having their kids' school portrait taken. Another recommendation which always makes my day. This session was a lot of fun, and we had a lot of variety!! Thanks again Buhay's.

My nephew

Thursday, September 24, 2009

My nephew turned 4 years in August!! It was an exciting party! So in lew of his birthday, it calls for a session...of some sort. Probably the quickest 15 mins of taking photos, hehe.

Stephanie and Jason | Engagement

This couple is my first out-of-town wedding. I'm so excited to venture out, find new places, and do new things! They decided to drive out here for their engagement photos, which was so much fun!! They're story on how they met is so unique, we decided to incorporate that into their session. I love doing everythin I can to re-identify the inital feeling that brought them together in the first place; the first time they fell in love.

Blog boards are so much fun!

Jasmine and Jeremy | Newborn

Monday, September 14, 2009

Thanks goes out to Jasmine and Jeremy Hildebrand for allowing me into their lives and be able to capture such a cutie! We had an eventful time, to which 2/4 of us got puked on. But we laughed it off, and continued to have a great time. Thanks again guys! May God bless you guys in your new journey as parents.

New additions!

Thursday, September 10, 2009

In addition with the new camera and the flash, I also am happy to say I'm investing in new business cards! This is a first for me, so I knew I needed to venture out to some more talented designers to do them for me.. SO, I found CT Designs! Crystal does amazing work, and is quite talented in her field, so I knew she was the right choice..

Also a new, offical website is under construction right now.. It'll be going live hopefully in the next while.. TBA!

Now I won't post all the selections, but I'll definitely post the finish product! Thanks again Crystal!!

Dyck's

This family was awesome. They had everything planned out well, and we got some awesome shots! They've gone in many directions in their lives but they know how to stay close, and come together to re-connect.. Thanks guys for allowing me to capture exactly what a family should be!!

We also got some mini-sessions with the families as well.. but there's so many pictures, I chose just a couple. Thanks again guys..

Lorraine and Dave | Engagement

This sounds bad, but it feels good to never be caught up. I'm so busy, and once I'm caught up.. that means no work. And no work isn't a good thing, so I'm happy to say I'm NOT caught up.. nor am I slowing down, which is amazing. I'm thanking God, my clients, and everyone supporting me for allowing me to have such an amazing passion!

This couple's engagement photos were a rollercoaster! Everytime we booked, it poured, even when the forcast said little chance! We knew that wouldn't stop us from taking advantage of the engagement session package that came with their wedding package they booked, even if it landed up being 2 weeks before their wedding! We found the first nice day and got it in as quick as possible!!

The wedding has came and gone as well, and thats about to come too..SO hang tight, and watch out for more updates! But for now, here's the engagement session that happened.

Joe and Stacey | part 2

Sunday, September 6, 2009

I had a great time photographing this wedding! It was the Corn and Apple weekend, so we kinda knew our locations might be limited cuz of the huge crowd this festival brings in.. but instead of being bummed out, we took advantage of the festival!

Photos of the festival will be posted soon..

And just as we walked into the festival, it was like someone had pressed play and the song "Chapel of Love" from The Dixie Cups played on the stereo. It was priceless.

We've expanded!

We've added 2 new additions to our camera family!

Let me introduce them..

I've used this camera before with weddings, and I am very impressed with it! The speedlight's a brand new addition, and I just used it for a wedding I did yesterday. :) I'm very pleased and happy to be having these two additions be a huge part of my photography future..

Take a bow guys! lol!

Wall

Slowly but surely, we'll be getting into family photo season.

The Wall's are an exciting family, with many laughs, and jokes to share, they made my experience a lot of fun! Thanks guys!

Recommendations are always a huge compliment for me.. and when I heard that an old friend of mine recommended this couple for a wedding, I was so excited! Engagement sessions are always included in wedding package, and I was very eager to capture this time in their lives!

Despite the thick fog that we experienced that morning, it was still a whole lot of fun. Thanks again guys for allowing me to capture this moment! Can't wait for your wedding!

Steinbach | Part 2

These two girls are the cutest things ever! Special note on the youngest, she's only 45 minutes older than my daughter!! Craazy! And she reminds me so much of her, from her cute pigtails, her brains, to her stubborness.. lol! Must be linked to December 14th, lol!

I love going back to Steinbach to see old friends, and to visit my sister.. but it was nice to go for a different reason this time! I had 2 maternity sessions, and a children session, and both went awesome!

Here's a sample of one of the maternity sessions!

Summer Lovin'

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

I guess its been pretty much all summer since I updated this thing! Wow, have to rewind my mind.

Well, first off lets start with last weekend. Joey and Stacey Wall phoned me about 2 months ago, requesting my services on their wedding day. They're so fresh, and so much in love, and the chemistry they share is overwhelming. To his words, "I fell for her the second I saw her..". They made my day so relaxed, I enjoyed every minute of the day.

This girl came out from Kansas with her twin boys, and I couldn't help resist taking a session with her while she was out. They're busy boys (as are most twin boys), and she's definitely a mother I can look up to.

I've had the privelage of photographing this cutie a few times now and everytime she excites me! The smiles and joy that comes out of her is priceless, and she's definitely a warm touch to the heart.

I was super thrilled when this couple came up to me and asked me to do their boy's one year photos. Simple pictures at the park, and the weather was perfect so overall the session went perfect!

I've stuck by this little sweetheart since she was in her mommy's tummy! Seieng her grow up is just so exciting!! Can't believe shes already 6 months old, and full of energy!

This session was joined up with her sister's son (cousin) Austin! Born only weeks apart, these kids will grow up to be really close, as are the mom's!

I always include an engagement session for each wedding booked with me, and this couple was a lot of fun! Another day of perfect weather made up for a great session!! Photographing their wedding in 2 weeks! Very exciting!

I had yet another successful session with this family at a beeeautiful century year old home!

Another successful wedding in and out the door! This couple's engagement photos are in the slideshow before this post, and we had a blast photographing in many locations! I was super excited to find out he was a pilot and she loved horses. Two places we went were an airport and a horse farm. It was a great day, and weather was perfect. Held off right up until the ceremony which was indoors anyways!!

Family sessions are already starting to come now that Christmas is just a few months away!! Here was the first session of the Christmas Season year.. and it was a lot of fun!!

My cousin`s family drove all the way from Alberta for our annual family reunion, and also wanted their family photo taken. They were a hoot, as they always are, and we had loads of fun!!

The Olfert twins were probably the cutest twin girls I have met to date!! It was exciting cuz I also have a twin sister! They're going and are the best of friends..

And last but not least, I did something I've never done before.. a 7 GIRL Trash the Dress shoot!! This was a lot of fun, and I'm so happy to say that 6/7 of them go their dresses clean! The other one tore hers to peices at the session so it wasn't worth fixing, lol!

There are way too many photos to post as favs.. We did a mini session with each individual, and we even trashed one of the dresses.... but here's the aftermath..

So there you have it! Thats been a highlight of my summer so far.. And working full time up until a week ago made it that much busier! I'm thankful to say I'm doing this full time and it feels a lot better, more focused, and I even get more time with my daughter!! Couldn't ask for anything more..
